It is commonly said that leaders are developed, not born… a true statement for the most part. Sure, some may have more of a natural propensity towards leadership than others… they may have been born with certain skills and traits facilitating their rise to leadership, however, there is simply no one out there who cannot turn themselves into a leader if they so desire… regardless of personality or whatever skills and traits they may or may not have been born with.
Leadership comes from a want and desire… it’s not for the lazy. Leadership is more than simply saying “follow me”, being enthusiastic, and blindly leading people… and it’s more than cheesy slogans and sayings. A true leader guides through example… they don’t just say… they DO.
