Early To Bed – Early To Rise!

Do the hours in your day seem to slip by so fast that you catch yourself saying, where did my day go?

You may be trying to build a part-time business while working at a full-time job.  You may be a single parent trying to accomplish it all.  You may be a college student trying to work part-time to keep food on the table.

Have you noticed that if you need someone to get a job done, it is best to ask a busy person?  Even though all of us have 24 hours in a day, it would seem that some people are able to accomplish so much more in those 24 hours than others are able to.

Why would this be the case?  What do these productive people do differently? Planning is the key.  From the first moment of the morning to the last moment of the night.

Lets talk about the folks who are trying to build a part-time business while working at a full-time job.  How do you do both?  How do you keep your employer happy and keep your own business growing?

One trick of successful and productive people is to get up an hour earlier than the rest of the household, or if you live alone, an hour earlier than you normally would.  That one hour can give you a big jump on your day.  You can use it for time to read books written by successful and positive people; exercise; organizing and planning your day.

Also, always be on the look-out for little pockets of time throughout your day when you are put in a situation that you have to wait.  Waiting in line at the grocery store; walking to the restroom while at your full-time job (really); waiting in a doctor or dentists office; waiting for the subway; waiting for your coffee in the morning; waiting to pick-up your child from school, etc.  These are little pockets of time that you can use your cell phone to make your phone calls to team members or clients.  Phone calls can take a good chunk of your time each day, and by multi-tasking you will be able to make these calls while doing other things.

Then when you are home and want to sit down and watch television, remember, television is an income-reducer not an income-maker. Dont get caught up in this mindless habit.  Get out and talk to people and build relationships instead.  This is how people business grow.  Remember, “No talk- no money; Some talk-some money; A lot of talk – a lot of money.

Make the most of your waking hours and you will be surprised at how much you will be able to accomplish and how fast your own business can grow.

Before you know it, you will be able to retire from your employers company and enjoy the life you dream of and have the time to do whatever you want to do!
